Responsiblities
- Perform surgical procedures on patients based on diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Conduct pre-operative consultations to assess patient readiness for surgery.
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up to monitor recovery and manage complications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques, technology, and evidence-based practices.
- Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of surgical procedures.
Requirement
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency training in general surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility in general surgery.
- State medical license and DEA registration.
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to participate in on-call schedules and weekend rotations.
