Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Casualty Doctor to join our Emergency Department team. As a Casualty Doctor, you will be responsible for providing urgent medical care to patients presenting with acute injuries, illnesses, or medical emergencies. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives and contribute to a high-functioning emergency medical team.
Responsiblities
- Assess and triage patients presenting to the Emergency Department based on the severity of their condition.
- Provide immediate medical treatment and interventions for patients with acute injuries, trauma, or medical emergencies.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnostic tests, and procedures to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Coordinate with nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care.
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and prepare them for transfer to specialized units or operating rooms as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Communicate with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols within the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with specialists and consultants for complex cases requiring further evaluation or management.
Requirement
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Residency training in Emergency Medicine or equivalent specialty.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
- Current state medical license and DEA registration.
- Strong clinical skills and proficiency in emergency medical procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and professionalism.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
